77th Republic Day Observed at Bodhicariya School with Flag Hoisting by CMCSU President and Introduction of Special Awards

Bodhicariya School observed the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm, pride, and a strong sense of unity, turning the campus into a vibrant centre of patriotism and celebration.

The programme commenced at around 7:30 a.m. with the unfurling of the National Flag by the honoured Chief Guest, Dangu Parbesh Chakma, President of the Central Mizoram Chakma Students’ Union (CMCSU), followed by the solemn rendition of the National Anthem. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech, urging students to dream big, uphold moral values, and play a constructive role in nation-building.

The celebration was further dignified by the presence of esteemed members of the School Management Committee, including Sir Kusum Baran Chakma, Sir Nirmal Kumar Chakma, and Sir Sneha Ranjan Chakma, whose participation added grace and encouragement to the occasion.

The morning unfolded with a series of colourful patriotic songs and cultural dances performed by the students, showcasing their love for the nation and rich cultural spirit. The event also featured the Annual Sports 2025 Prize Distribution, recognising the hard work, discipline, and achievements of students in various sporting activities.

Adding a special highlight to this year’s celebration, the school proudly introduced two new honours for the first time — Best Student (Teacher’s Choice) and Best Teacher (Student’s Choice). These unique awards were instituted to promote dedication, mutual respect, and appreciation between teachers and students, creating a positive and motivating academic environment.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Miss Sahoji, marking the end of a memorable celebration filled with pride, joy, and hope for a brighter future.
